Approximately 70 people attended the Change Implementation Seminar presented by The Conference Board and sponsored by AlignOrg Solutions.  The all-day seminar titled Map and Manage a Successful Journey was held June 13th at Convene in New York City, a next generation work, meeting, and collaboration space.  Reed Deshler and Mike Smith of AlignOrg Solutions facilitated the seminar that focused on two core topics:  how to use an integrated journey map to frame your implementation; and practical insights on how leaders and their change partners can guide a transformation journey.  There was ample opportunity throughout the seminar for problem solving, idea exchange and networking among session participants.

The seminar also featured two case studies.  Christy Blake, Senior HR Director at Medtronic shared the story of her recent experience leading a global redesign implementation for the 1000 employee Legal function.  She shared the approach they took, some of their challenges, and key lessons learned.  Chanda Guth, VP Head of HR Business Partners at Atlassian presented a case study of designing and activating their new HR Client Delivery Model.  She shared principles, their team structure, key tools and practices they used along the way, and their top lessons learned.

Participants were highly engaged in large group and small group discussions throughout the day.  They were introduced to tools and approaches for effective change implementation.  In addition, attendees were given a copy of the newly published 66 Organization Alignment Tips from AlignOrg Solutions.

Representatives from several of AlignOrg Solutions current and former client firms also attended the seminar including Adobe, Nike, American Family Insurance, Northwestern Mutual, United Technologies, and USAA.
